A First-Time Trip to London & Paris
“Choosing Emma to help plan my first international trip made me so much more confident traveling abroad with my children. Emma selected lovely hotels for us in London and Paris that were within walking distance of many activities and just steps away from public transportation.
She customized a plan for us to make sure that each member of my family had different activities to look forward to throughout the trip. Emma even made time to join us for coffee one day to say hello in person. Aside from making sure we never had a dull moment, she provided guidance on how to navigate the cities and the Eurostar from London to Paris.
When we encountered an extended flight delay (29 hours), Emma was easily reachable to help us reschedule tours and made sure we were aware of our rights to compensation in the UK for such delays. I am endlessly grateful for Emma's help planning our trip.”

The Brief
Amanda and her children were excited to experience their first international trip – and I wanted to make sure we found as many ways as possible to make it special for all three family members – from palaces and museums to theatre, shopping and special tours.
I also wanted to make sure Amanda felt fully supported for their first journey beyond the US. When the family encountered a significant travel delay en route to London, I was there every step of the way to support, guide, manage hotel reservations and immediately update the itinerary to ensure they didn’t miss out on much-anticipated tours and experiences.
The Journey
I arranged the 14-day journey between two of Europe’s most iconic capitals – seven days in London, six in Paris, with Eurostar arrangements, insider tips, advice, and guidance, carefully chosen hotels, and a flexible itinerary that gave each member of the family something different to look forward to each day.
London: Seven days getting to know the city with sightseeing, museums, shopping, and guided tours by day, and theatre in the West End by night – plus a cruise down the Thames, a personalized list of bookstores for Amanda’s book-loving daughter, and toy shop recommendations for her son.
Paris: Six days in the City of Light anchored by a private day trip to the Palace of Versailles and a cruise along the Seine, plenty of sightseeing, personal guidance on each arrondissement, shopping suggestions and dining rounding out the days.
Beyond the itinerary itself, this trip was a reminder of why real, human support matters: a coffee meetup in person just to say hello, and, when a 29-hour flight delay threatened to upend the schedule, real-time help rescheduling tours and clear guidance on UK flight-delay compensation rights — the kind of support only an advisor who actually lives here can offer.
